Shandong Shengyue Petrochemical Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. (hereafter abbreviated as COMPANY) is reorganized from the Second Construction Branch of the Second Construction Company of SINOPEC according to the relative national policy.
Originally established in 1954, the COMPANY is capable of comprehensive construction project in the areas of civil work, installation work, equipment manufacture, boiler & pressure vessel manufacture, physical and chemical testing, material supply, furnace lining, heavy lifting and transportation, and so on. After decades of development, the COMPANY has greatly improved its management. Now it is a professional construction company with sufficiently experienced in construction, and is engaged in manufacturing and installation projects of petro-chemical, industrial, medical and electrical equipments.
The COMPANY has the licenses and the certificate for grade I construction contractor for many disciplines, such as Installation of petro-chemical equipments. Pipeline, and Steel Structure etc., and it is the holder of a number of licenses and certificates, including licenses of Pressure Vessel Manufacturing, licenses of Installation, Rebuilding and Repair of Pressure Pipeline, certificate of safety, and the certificate of ISO9001 Quality System, and so on.
The COMPANY' s business includes: construction work for the chemical and petroleum projects, design and manufacturing of pressure vessel, fabrication and installation of steelwork and grid work, heavy transportation and lifting, nondestructive inspection services and physical and chemical testing services.
The COMPANY now consists of near 2,000 staffs, in which 30 have the senior professional titles, and 194 have junior professional titles. Ten persons are awarded with state grade A registered architects, 20 with grade A project managers and 50 with grade B. The COMPANY has 2 installation teams, 2 contracting units, and 1 equipment manufactory.
Before the reorganization, as the biggest branch of the Second Construction Company of SINOPEC, the COMPANY has developed its business in Shandong Province over years and can independently represent the Second Construction Company of SINOPEC in handling relations with the clients. The COMPANY has rich experience in market deploitation and construction management, and also it has the capacity of constructing 4or 5 sets of large and medium-sized petroleum and chemical industrial units simultaneously, annually manufacturing non-standard equipment of 4,000 to 5,000 tons, and has proficiently mastered the welding techniques for high Cr-Ni alloy/Ti material/Monel/HK-40 centrifugal casting pipe. It is capable of undertaking the installation and calibration of the turbine-driven or the electric machinery-driven compressor with power capacity of 40,000 kilowatts, and the installation of large-scale system of DCS.
The COMPANY is equipped with the advance facilities, such as 20 cranes of different types, 4 plate rollers, 5 bench drills, 5 edge planning machines. 18 plate bending machines, 3 shear machines, and about 300 welding machines of different types, 35 cutting machines, more than 100 special facilities for detecting, testing and electric instruments.
The COMPANY is well experienced in construction, proficient in skills, and strong in technical expertise. It provides its clients with excellent productions and good services, and has taken part in the construction of many large and medium-scaled major national projects, and has gained National High Quality Engineering Award and Provincial and Ministerial Engineering Quality Awards. The Yangtse Cup was awarded to the COMPANY for construction of the following units: 1,400.000 t/y heavy oil catalyst crocking unit, 1,200,000 t/y Diesel oil hydrotining unit, 150,000 t/y gas fractioning unit of Jinan Refinery, 600.000 t/y Diesel oil hydrofining unit of Qingdao Petrochemical Works, 4,000,000 t/y decompression unit, and the 600,000 t/y catalytic reforming units. The construction of the combined device for catalytic cracking with the annual capacity of 400,000 tons for Anqing Petrochemical Works has won Luban Award, the supreme national construction award. The project of heavy oil catalysis unit with the annual capacity of 1,400,000 tons, the project of p-xylene unit with the annual capacity of 160,000 tons, the project of aromatics extraction unit with the annual capacity of 250,000 tons, the project of ethane unit with the annual capacity of 350,000 tons for Qilu Petro-chemical Company have won National High Quality Welding Awards. The project of the catalytic reforming units with the annual capacity of 600,000 tons for Qilu Petrochemical Company has been awarded the Ministerial Engineering Quality award by SINOPEC Group in 2004 and National High Quality Engineering Award in 2005.
The COMPANY also has overseas construction experience, It is capable of undertaking construction according to the foreign drawing and standards directly. It has many successful cooperation with the foreign investors, the EPC contractors, the executives and the technicians, such as BASF and Lindeleh of Germany. Its business scope: construction contracts to implement the establishment, management and operation and maintenance of factories and chemical industries, petroleum and petrochemical industry, mineral and synthetic materials and gas projects, and water purification plants, electric power generation, manufacturing and installation of boilers and pressure vessels and boilers and pipes and pressures testing of third rival. In line with license No. 2030125418 which is issued by the Saudi Arabia General investment Authority (SAGIA). From year 2006, under the construction of the company, polypropylene unit of polyolefin project and butene unit of BBTX project were turned over to the client (SABIC) successfully with high quality. And another project in Jubail Industrial City of Saudi Arabia was under progress.
