On the afternoon of August 1st, Sun Yu, Manager of Qilu Petrochemical Second Fertilizer Plant, Li Jia, Deputy Manager, and Cui Haiyun, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Qilu Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., visited our company for a working discussion on the progress of the carbon dioxide recycling and utilization project. Xu Ming, General Manager of our company, Bai Hongbing, Deputy General Manager, and relevant personnel from the Qilu project department attended the meeting.
General Manager Xu Ming first extended a warm welcome to Manager Sun Yu and his delegation, and then provided an update on the progress of the carbon dioxide recovery and utilization project currently under construction at the Second Fertilizer Plant. The Qilu Petrochemical Carbon Dioxide Recovery Project is one of the first "dual carbon" key projects of China Petrochemical Corporation. It utilizes low-temperature and high-pressure technology to recover carbon dioxide from the tail gas of the coal gasification unit at the Second Fertilizer Plant, purify and liquefy it for utilization, and achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality". Depending on the operational situation, the project will continue to expand its capacity in the future, recycling and utilizing part of the carbon dioxide from the Second Chemical Power Station of the Thermal Power Plant and the refinery, creating a model project for the promotion of China Petrochemical's "dual carbon" projects. General Manager Xu Ming emphasized that this project holds great significance. Being able to participate in its construction not only demonstrates the trust and recognition of our construction capabilities by the Second Fertilizer Plant and Qilu Petrochemical Company, but also serves as a test for us. To achieve the goal of handing over the project on December 30th and putting it into operation by the end of February next year, we still need to make arduous efforts. The project department and relevant departments should further optimize the construction plan, scientifically arrange the construction schedule, strictly implement quality and safety guarantee measures, ensure the smooth progress of construction and production, and satisfy the owners and reassure the leaders. Manager Sun Yu and Deputy Manager Li Jia from the Second Fertilizer Plant, as well as Deputy General Manager Cui Haiyun from Shandong Qilu Petrochemical Engineering Company, put forward specific requirements for the execution of the project.
