On July 8, 2021, the load test run of the first new hydrogen compressor at Zhenhai Refining and Chemical, which was undertaken by our company, was successfully completed, achieving the anticipated construction milestone goal.
The 4 million tons/year hydrocracking unit of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Zhenhai Branch has three new hydrogen compressors. The earliest arrival plan for the three sets of units was February 15th, but the actual arrival date was March 9th, which was nearly a month later than the original plan. However, according to the owner's construction milestone plan requirements, the plan for the first compressor to reach commissioning conditions by June 30th cannot be changed. Therefore, our company attaches great importance to this matter. Under the unified coordination of Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd., all participating units closely cooperated and conducted detailed plan alignment to ensure that the compressor units can meet the construction conditions as soon as possible. We organized several special meetings to promptly solve various problems encountered during construction, pooled various high-quality resources from the project department, and actively organized to rush ahead, providing reliable guarantees for the smooth completion of the construction plan. Due to the fact that there is only one crane in the compressor plant, it is difficult to carry out simultaneous construction for the three compressor units. The project department reasonably arranged the operation procedures to ensure effective connection between each process, maximized the use efficiency of the crane, and guaranteed the construction progress. After more than three months of hard work, the first new hydrogen compressor was ready for no-load trial operation on June 29th. Water intake began on July 8th, and the unit was officially started on the afternoon of July 9th. After four hours of trial operation, various parameters such as temperature and vibration met the performance requirements, successfully completing the no-load commissioning of the first unit.
