SMEC Win the JERP2A DHCK and MHCK Unit Contract

After difficult negotiation, SMEC (Shengyue Middle East Co.,Ltd) has been awarded the MA and MD contract section of SAUDI ARAMCO-TOTAL JUBAIL EXPORT REFINERY PROJECT which is abbreviated as JERP2A.
SMEC JERP2A is formed by DHCK (Distillate Hydrocracker, 041 unit) and MHCK (Mild Hydrocracker, 051 unit).
Jubail Export Refinery is designed to built a grass root refinery that shall process 400.000 BPSD of Arabian heavy crude oil to produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, petroleum coke, fuel oil, liquid sulphur and aromatic products for export, domestic consumption or further processing.
JER locates in Saudi Arabia on the west coast of the Arabian gulf, in the industrial site of Jubail 2 (about 3km west of the existing industrial area of Jubail 1) in the Plot 9 area.
SMEC JERP2A is one of the most difficult units of JERP. The EPC company is Technip (Italy). The owner is SATORP which is a joint venture company between TOTAL and Saudi Aramco. The mechanical completion date of 051 unit is 31 Dec, 2012 and 041 unit is 28 Feb, 2013.
